I have been after this particular car for about 4 years now, finally the guy stoped over to my house and said he no longer wanted the car and told me its for sale for $4,000, I took it home tonight for $3,000. I think I good deal it has a matching set of 14" ralleys with center caps and trim rings, 60K miles on the odometer and a great running 318/auto that I was able to drive home (5 miles  ). Here are a couple pics, they were taken in the dark... in the rain.... Now I have to figure out if I leave the stock 318 in there or put the 500 cu in big block in there

Cool car! ..even cooler price. Warm up the 318 with a pair of 360 heads, 4bbl. etc. Those little a-bodys will really scream with good smallblock.

Nice ride! i like it! i noticed several guys say to put on some 360 heads on the 318....isnt that going to lower the compression and inturn not help performance at all?
Thats why you shave them .035-.040 on each side

I have been building a 500 cu in stroker to put into my Dakota, but I am thinking about putting it in the Dart instead . There are no big block darts around me as far as I know. There are a few small blocks though.

Yep, that's what I did. 360 Ports are bigger, valves are bigger and they really wake up a 318. Best of all mine were free for the taking!
That 500" monster would be tempting!
I got away from the small block stuff years ago and would never build another as long as I have a 440 lying around.
There's so many places like Schumacher and TTI that make installing a 440 in an A-body a bolt-in proposition.
Do it!
